About JCS

JCS is a subscription agency for e-resources and has a large catalogue of resources from over a dozen leading international publishers for Schools, Further Education Colleges and Public Libraries. Our job is to promote these e-resources for the publishers and try to secure as many subscriptions as we can.

Sales and Customer Support Administrator

We are looking for a highly-organised, self-motivated person with great communication skills to join our busy team.

About the role

There are many aspects to this role so you will need to be a highly organised person able to juggle lots of different tasks without letting any of them drop. JCS's primary objective is to sell subscriptions so you'll be working at the heart of the business in supporting the sales team, providing customer support and liaising with our publisher partners.

What the role entails

First, you'll need to become familiar with our catalogue of e-resources for schools, colleges and libraries so you have a basic understanding of them and how the subscribers get access to them. That's not difficult as they're all easy to use and full of interesting information. We also have plenty of helpful check-lists to support your induction.

You'll also learn about our subscription process and relationship with our publisher partners so you can start to help customers with their queries.

You will receive training on all our in-house systems and procedures but we will expect you to be a quick learner and a confident and experiences user of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

You will be the first port of call for all enquiries (by phone and email), and since JCS prides itself on the quality of its customer service, the successful candidate should be a real people person – someone who enjoys speaking to people on the phone and helping to resolve problems.
